Happy 2009

Happy New Year,everyone! Let's hope that this will be a stellar year for us all! My resolutions??....I guess to be a better person and to try and live with more of a healthy attitude.My hubby & I had WAY too much food over the holidays--We're starting to settle in(if ya know what I mean...)....Even our dogs gained weight! Ha! Looks like a lot of "Family Walks" are on board for 2009!!

Christmas Eve

We have 2 days off work this week for the Christmas holidays.....I'm really looking forward to doing absolutely nothing! Well,I will be cooking dinner and doing laundry...but not too much else!! Hope that everyone enjoys themselves!!

Is It CHRISTMAS yet?????

For some reason,I am NOT in the Holiday "spirit" this year!! It does not feel like Christmas to me---I'm used to SNOW on the ground,and here in So. NJ,we have no snow yet!! It's really ODD....

I turned my little Christmas tree on and listened to Holiday music,but the feeling just didn't last! I miss my family back in Upstate NY....At least me & the Hubby will be together!! Maybe it'll feel like Christmas after all....

Bettie Page died this week...She was 85 years old,but eternally young and vibrant! I don't know of anyone who did NOT like her....She was THAT beautiful!! She really blazed the trail for women in amateur modelling. She fell on some hard times and even "disappeared"!! I can't remember the first time I ever saw a photo of her,but I did look at a lot of her movies online. I think she is like a "bookmark" of sorts for that era---The innocence is still there in her photos--Even the bondage ones!! We'll always remember you,Bettie!!!!

It Could Happen....

Not too bad of a day today.....But a guy from the office @ work had a nervous breakdown this morning!! AT work!!! What a sad thing to happen--Esp. @ this time of year! My husband & I were talking about it on the drive home.SO much stress...Maybe this is a WAKEUP call for all of us!?!!

Maybe these things happen to remind us to slow down sometimes....Either that or to ask for help and not be so stubborn! I still keep thinking about the whole situation.....
